President Trump’s affordability crisis is not a hoax. It is affecting nearly every middle-class American right now. The middle class was built on a simple promise: If you work hard, you can afford a home, raise a family, save for retirement, and have some security. Under the Trump administration the cost of everyday necessities keeps climbing. Groceries, utilities, insurance, childcare, healthcare, and transportation all cost more. Wages haven’t risen and the dollar buys less. Trump’s calling this crisis a “hoax” ignores the reality of millions of Americans. You don’t need a spreadsheet to know something is wrong when your medical costs, rent, and grocery bills keep rising. This crisis is only going to get worse, weakening not just families, but the entire economy. The affordability crisis is real, it is widespread, and it is reshaping what being “middle class” even means in America. President Trump’s ignoring it doesn’t make it go away — it only guarantees that future generations will suffer.
